Don and I were good friends he was a wonderful and sensitive person. He had leukemia and at the end of cancer he couldn't stand the pain and took his life.Joe Simmons
Don and I were friends from 5th grade until his death. Schools do have many wise and good teachers! Our 5th grade teacher Ms Wells keep getting after many of the boys toquite burping in class. One day Don let out a real big one, not only was it loud he drew it out a good 30 seconds or so. Ms Wells asked Don to stay after that day. She then had Don Burp and Burp and Burp, I think for close to an hour. From that day Don and all the boys quite burping in class. Don was a good person who not only served a honorable mission but serve our county in the armed forces. It was while serving our country that he found out he had leukemia.
